SopCast

SopCast is an application that will allow us to see television from anywhere in the world. This program will allow us to connect to  television channel streams, or start our own television channel. The amount of television channels and radio stations available is vast, with the only minor snag that the majority of television channels are asian. Furthermore, due to this type of applications popularity, we will be able to find lots of websites that will directly link us with SopCast to view a specific program, it can be a film or sports broadcast.

  The program is very easy-to-use. When we start the application, we will have access the main window, where we will have to choose if we want to connect annonymously or with a registered user account. There isn't a very big difference, but we recommend registering, because registered users have priority over non registered users when it comes to accessing the same channel.

  One we have connected, we will have access to various tabs in a small sidebar, with the main player screen beside it, the tabs represent: list of live channel broadcasts (this list can be filtered by theme), list of prerecorded broadcasts, and an option tab called MySop that will save your options if you are a registered user.

  If we select a channel, or we have opened a link from a website, after a few seconds the player will start to show the video feed. We can also choose to use our preferred media player instead of the one that comes with the program.

  Last but not least is the option to be a server, and send video signal worldwide. All we would have to do is select a television feed connected to your computer, or a video file, and configure the program so that people can access our video stream.
